The Terengganu 15s rugby team has started their first training camp on a high note, with every player and management member showing strong commitment by attending the sessions at Padang Merbuk, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, which concluded late on September 8, 2024.
Adding to the momentum of this season’s opening training, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Terengganu, Tengku Muhammad Ismail, along with his brother, Tengku Seri Setia Mahkota Raja, graced the training sessions with their presence, participating alongside the team.
This season, under the guidance of head coach Khairul Azhar Shaarani, who is making his debut with the team, the commitment shown during the first training session is crucial in ensuring the team’s direction is on the right track. They are gearing up for their opening match against the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur this Saturday at Tugre Arena, Sungai Buloh, Selangor.
Also present at the training sessions were the President of the Malaysian Rugby Union (KRM), Amir Amri Mohamad, KRM Treasurer Che Mohd Zulkarnain Abdul Wahab, and the President & CEO of Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad, Khairul Kamarudin, who is a strategic partner for Terengganu in this 40th edition of the Agong Cup campaign.
