The 40th edition of the Agong Cup Rugby Championship 2024 has been finalized, featuring 9 teams in a 15-a-side format. This year’s tournament has seen a few last-minute withdrawals, but the competition remains fierce.
The group stage matches will kick off on September 7, 2024. In Group A, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) will face Pahang at the PGA Semenyih Rugby Field, while Selangor will take on the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) at Padang Astaka in Petaling Jaya. Over in Group B, Terengganu will compete against the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur at Tigre Arena in Sungai Buluh.
After four weeks of intense matches, the final week of the group stage is scheduled for October 5, 2024. In Group A, Pahang will meet Selangor at the Malaysia Sports School in Gambang, and PDRM will go up against Perak at the PGA Semenyih Rugby Field. Meanwhile, Group B will see Perlis, the home team, facing Terengganu at the Tuanku Syed Putra Complex in Kangar.
