

a) The 4th edition of the Tour Gateh D’Tranung 2025 road cycling race is organized by the Terengganu state government through the Terengganu State Sports Council (MSNT), with support from the national cycling governing body – the Malaysian National Cycling Federation (PKBM). The race is scheduled to take place from October 26 to November 3, 2025.
b) The team and sponsor introduction ceremony was held on October 26, 2025, at the Grand Hall of Wisma Darul Iman. It was officiated by the Terengganu State Secretary Dato’ Nara Setia (Dato’ Zulkifli Ali), representing the Chief Minister of Terengganu, Dato’ Seri Ir. Dr. Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar. According to the original plan outlined in the race manual, the ceremony was supposed to be held at Mayang Mall, Kuala Terengganu.
c) The 4th edition of Tour Gateh D’Tranung 2025 features 8 stages over 8 days, covering every district in Terengganu with a total cycling distance of 887.70 KM. This edition adds 216.4 KM compared to the previous edition, which covered only 671.3 KM.
d) The first stage of the race is scheduled to start at 10:00 AM in front of the Kuala Nerus District Office, featuring a team time trial (TTT) format over a distance of 24 KM.
e) The 4th edition of this prestigious road cycling race held in Terengganu offers a total prize pool of RM 220,000.00, with three categories being contested: ‘Men Elite’, ‘Local Club’, and ‘Men Under 23’.
f) Five jersey categories remain in play: yellow jersey for fastest individual time, orange jersey for best club rider, polka dot jersey for king of the mountains, green jersey for sprint king, and white jersey for best under-23 rider.
g) A total of 24 teams are competing, comprising 16 local teams and 8 international teams.
h) The host teams include Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG), Terengganu Team, Terengganu Cycling Academy Team, Raudah Cahaya Foundation and TSS X Kerepok Bayu Cycling Team.
i) The international teams hail from Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Australia, the Netherlands, and Great Britain.
j) This edition offers 13 climbing zone challenges: 8 zones classified as ‘CAT 4’, 3 zones as ‘CAT 2’, 1 zone as ‘CAT 3’, and 1 zone classified as ‘HC’ at Bukit Presiden, Marang, which will be a highlight on the second-to-last day of the race.
k) Day 6 of the race features the longest stage of this edition, where riders must complete a 144.20 KM route that starts and ends at the Setiu District Council.
l) The Kuala Terengganu Drawbridge remains the final destination for the last stage of the race, covering 66.00 KM in a criterium format scheduled to start at 9:30 PM. This final stage is also the only night race held during the entire 8-day event.
